The Airbus A220-300 had its first flight in 2015 as the Bombardier CSeries CS300. The model's name became the Airbus A220-300 in 2018 after Airbus took over the programm. The A220 stands out with its wide fuselage enabling 18.5" (47cm) wide seats and a generous aisle of 20" (51cm). The airframe is built using composites for 46% of its construction and together with the mostly carbon composite wings, the A220-300 is very light relative to its size. The engines are state of the art Pratt & Whitney PW1500G geared turbofan engines with a very low specific fuel consumption.
