Southwind Airlines is a newly founded Turkish airline. It was set-up together with Pegas Touristik, a large Russian tour operator. The airline intends to fill the gap left behind by sanctioned Russian airlines on the huge holiday market between Russia and Turkey. The airline is based at Antalya and operates to over 15 Russian cities as well as a few German destinations. The fleet is comprises various Airbus and Boeing models all configured in a tight single class holiday layout.

Southwind Airlines domestic and international flights restrict age for unaccompanied minors from 6 to 12 years old. Any infant (less than 2 years old) must be attended by an adult (at least 18 years old). An adult is not allowed to carry more than 1 infant. The number of life vests and oxygen masks per seat row must not be less than the number of passengers of the seat row refer infant limit. Air travel is not allowed for new born babies within the first 48 hours after birth. From 2 to 7 days old fit and healthy babies can travel with a medical clearance. However It is strongly recommended that the new born babies should travel after the 7th day of birth. Beyond that day no medical clearance is request by Southwind Airlines.

The transportation of pets (PETC and AVIH) accompanying passengers on Southwind Airlines flights is not included in the free baggage allowance and is subject to an additional fee. Only the following pets are allowed to be transported on Southwind international flights. The cage size should not exceed 55 X 40 X 20 cm. The cage is provided by the owner. When weighed together with the pet cage, it should have a maximum weight of 8 kg. Pets weighing more than 8kg with their cage are considered AVIH (Animal on Hold) and must travel in the cargo hold.
