LADE - Linea Aerea del Estado is a state owned airline operated by the Argentinian Air Force. The airline was established in 1940 to service remote areas that could not be operated economically. The main bases are at Comodoro Rivadavia's General Enrique Mosconi International Airport and Buenos Aires' Jorge Newbery International AIrport. Destinations served are mostly in Patagonia, Argentina's south. Flights are operated by Saab 340Bs and De Havilland Twin Otters aircraft. Seasonal services to Argentina's Marimbo Antarctic base are also performed.

The free baggage allowance is 15 kg. in the hold. Carry-on baggage may not exceed 40cm x 30 cm and its weight is up to 5 kg. It is recommended to carry valuables and/or fragile objects (cameras, jewelry, video cameras, etc.). LADE does not accept declared values and disclaims responsibility for valuables inside the luggage. It is strictly forbidden to transport acids, toxic poisons, flammable or explosive liquids, aerosols, infectious substances, etc. Likewise, for security reasons, it is forbidden to carry in hand luggage sharp or pointed objects or weapons.
