Check-in counter is opened 3 hours prior to flight. Check-in counters close 45 minutes before the departure. Armenia Airways allowing passengers to check in from home or office starting 24 hours and ending 1 hour before flight departure. However, passengers should be aware of the list of prohibited items for both checked baggage and carry-ons. It's essential to adhere to baggage rules; any baggage exceeding the free allowance in weight or size will incur additional fees. Groups of more than nine people must check in at the airport. While airport check-in times vary, passengers should arrive early to complete all procedures, including security and customs for international flights. Boarding starts 40 minutes before departure. If online boarding pass printing isn't available, passengers should approach an airport check-in desk at least 50 minutes before departure.

Baggage

Armenia Airways has specific baggage allowances based on the destination. For flights to Tehran, passengers are permitted a total baggage weight of 30 kg plus an additional 7 kg for hand baggage. For destinations like Tbilisi, Moscow, Delhi, Hurghada, Kazan, and Batumi, the allowance is one piece weighing up to 23 kg, along with 7 kg for hand baggage. To ensure flight safety, all baggage, including cabin luggage, must be presented to the airline's check-in staff. Passengers are advised against placing valuables such as money, jewelry, crucial documents, personal computers, and passports in their checked luggage.

Unaccompanied minors

Armenia Airways offers an Unaccompanied Minor (UMNR) service for children aged 5 to 12 traveling alone. To avail this service, passengers must contact the booking office to reserve a seat and arrange the UMNR service. The airline ensures that the child is accompanied by staff throughout the journey, from departure to arrival. For these minors, a regular airfare is charged, and child or student fares are not applicable. The UMNR service is complimentary in such cases. Required documents include a ticket issued under Adult Fare and a UMNR form, filled out by the child’s parents or legal guardian at the airport. For those aged 12 to 18, a regular fare ticket is needed, and the UMNR service isn't provided. Upon arrival, the airline staff assists the child with border formalities and ensures they are handed over to the designated individual or transferring airline staff. This person must have valid identification. If the designated individual fails to arrive, the child will be sent back to the departure airport, with all additional costs borne by the guardian. Parents are advised to remain at the airport until the flight departs.
