FlySafair (FA*) seat map listing

FlySafair is a South African airline operating as the low cost subsidiary of Safair. It uses the same aircraft types and flight numbers as the parent airline. The airline commenced operations in 2014 and today flies to around 15 destinations within South and Southern Africa. All flights are operated by Boeing 737 aircraft. Both the classic -400 and the Next Generation -800 versions. The cabins feature a high density seating layout while Business class passengers benefit from a blocked seat next to them.

Check in rules

For domestic flights, FlySafair advises arriving at least 2 hours early. Check-in opens 2 hours before and closes 40 minutes prior. For international flights, arrive 3 hours before, with check-in closing 1 hour prior. Online check-in starts 24 hours before departure. Baggage

FlySafair’s Lite Fare includes a free carry-on bag up to 7 kg and must fit in the storage compartment in the cabin. The dimensions should not exceed 56cm x 36cm x 23cm. Exceeding this weight incurs a fee. Checked baggage up to 20 kg costs extra if purchased online or at the airport. Personal items, such as a slim laptop bag or handbag, must fit under the seat. Unaccompanied minors

FlySafair provides an Unaccompanied Minors service for children aged 5 to 12 flying alone, for a fee of R750 per leg. The child is supervised from check-in to arrival, ensuring a safe journey. Infants

Infants under 2 years must be added to the booking and sit on an adult’s lap. Only one infant per adult is allowed. A free baby pram is permitted, and infants must be at least 7 days old to fly. Contact FlySafair for pricing and additional infant travel rules.
