Gum Air was founded in 1971 and is based in Paramaribo, Surinam. It operates out of the smaller city airport Zorg en Hoop. The airline is privately owned by the Gummels family. Gum Air operates a diverse fleet of propeller driven aircraft as well as helicopters. Check in rules

Gum Air requires passengers to present themselves at the airport at least two hours before the scheduled departure to complete check-in formalities and security screening. Check-in closes 45 minutes prior to departure, and late arrivals may be denied boarding with their fare forfeited. Passengers must present a valid passport at check-in.

Baggage

For the Beech 1900D Aircraft, the maximum free baggage allowance for cabin baggage is 10 kg (23 lbs), consisting of one carry-on and one personal item, which must fit under the seat. The dimensions should not exceed 18 cm (7 inches) in height, 30 cm (12 inches) in width, and 33 cm (13 inches) in length. For the Cessna Grand Caravan, the maximum combined free baggage allowance for both cabin and checked luggage is 15 kg (33 lbs).

Pets

Gum Air allows passengers to travel with dogs, provided they present a valid vaccination card at check-in, demonstrating that the dog has received all required vaccines. Dogs must be placed in a container. The container should be securely latched to prevent escape. Passengers must notify Gum Air of their intention to travel with a dog at the time of booking.
