Air Koryo is the state-owned national airline of North Korea, headquartered in Pyongyang. Founded in 1955, it operates domestic flights and international routes primarily to China (Beijing, Shenyang) and Russia (Vladivostok). The airline's fleet includes Soviet-era and Russian aircraft such as Tupolevs, Ilyushins, and Antonovs. The Tu-204-100B is the most modern airliner in the fleet and is featured on our site.

Check in rules
Check-in can only be done at the airport. Passengers should arrive at the departure airport not later than 90 minutes before the flight and complete all departure formalities. Required items: Passport, Visa, Paper flight ticket or Itinerary Receipt (E-Ticket).

Baggage
The free checked baggage allowances at Air Koryo are as followings: Business Class 30kg(66lbs), Economy Class 20kg(44lbs). As for cabin baggage: It should be suitable for placing in the closed overhead rack or under the passenger’s seat provided that the total sum of its three dimensions does not exceed 115 cm(45 inches) and the total weight does not exceed 5 kg.

A Parent or guardian can make minors between 5 and 12 years old travel alone by Air Koryo. A child traveling alone will pay the same fare as an adult does. Any infant and children under 4 years, not traveling with adult of 17 years and upward, are not accepted by Air Koryo.

At Air Koryo an infant under 2 years of age accompanied by an adult shall pay 10% of the applicable adult fare and cannot occupy individual seat. Children from 2 under 12, who are paying 75% of the adult fare, are entitled to individual seats.

Air Koryo allows the transportation of pets: dogs, cats, monkeys or household birds. Prior special arrangements with the airline are prerequisite for the travel with pets. Transportation of live animals(domestic dogs, cats or birds) in the passenger cabin is permitted provided the container can fit under the passenger seat, the total weight of the animal and the container does not exceed 5 kg. Excess baggage rates will be charged. Animals that exceed the above-mentioned limits must be loaded in the cargo hold.
