Tara Air is a small Nepalese airline based at Kathmandu. It was founded in 2009 by its parent airline company Yeti Airlines. Tara Air specializes in STOL (short take off and landing) operations which are typical for the mountainous terrain of the country. Tara Air passengers must check in within a specified time frame before the scheduled departure. Boarding passes can be obtained at the airport or at the check-in counter.
