Grand Canyon Airlines was founded as Scenic Airways in 1927 and is the oldest air tour company in the world. The airline specializes in scenic sightseeing tours over the Grand Canyon. The main base is at Boulder City Municipal Airport with further bases at Grand Canyon National Park airport and Page Municipal Airport. Grand Canyon Airlines has two types of aircraft in its fleet: The de Havilland Twin Otter and the Cessna Caravan. Both feature large passenger windows making them ideal for the airline's operations.

Check in rules

Grand Canyon Scenic Airlines requires passengers to reconfirm their tour reservations at least 48 hours before the scheduled tour date and time. This can be done by calling their customer service line +1 (702) 638-3296 8am to 8pm Pacific Time with your reservation number handy. Passengers must check in their luggage at least 60 minutes before the scheduled flight time at the airport.

Baggage

Passengers are allowed one small personal item as carry-on baggage, which must be managed by the passenger at all times. Checked baggage is defined as one item, weighing no more than 30 pounds (~14kg), with total dimensions (Length + Width + Height) not exceeding 66 inches(168cm). Baggage can be checked up to 4 hours before flight time, provided the passenger remains at the airport.

Unaccompanied minors

Children under 12 are not permitted to travel unaccompanied on Grand Canyon Scenic Airlines. Passengers aged 12 and over are considered adults and are eligible for solo travel under the airline's contract.

Infants

Travelers with children under 2 years old are urged to use an FAA-approved child restraint system in a purchased seat. Infants under 2 may fly on an adult's lap free of charge, with age-proof documentation required. Infants between 1-7 days old need a physician's approval to fly. No seat is reserved for infants under 2 unless purchased at the regular fare.

Pets

Service animals assisting Qualified Disabled Individuals can fly with no extra charge, provided proper documentation is presented. Service animals are allowed in passenger seats as long as they do not obstruct emergency evacuation paths.
