Check in rules

Check-in can be done online (via the website or mobile app) or at the airport. Online check-in begins 24 hours before departure and ends 60 minutes before departure. Check-in desks open two hours before departure and close 30 minutes before departure (for domestic flights) and 45 minutes before departure (for international flights).

Baggage

All classes include a free checked baggage allowance of 20 kg for each adult and child (except infants). One piece of baggage may not exceed 32 kg. Traveling infants may check in up to three accompanying infant items up to a total weight of 20 kg free of charge. The airfare includes free hand luggage of 9 kg for each adult and child.

Unaccompanied minors

Minors aged between five and 11 years of age may only travel unaccompanied if they are using the UM Service. Minors from age 12 up to a maximum of 17 years of age, can also use the UM Service at the request of their guardian.

Infants

Infants are defined as children under two years of age. Infants younger than seven days old are not allowed to fly. Infants must fly on the lap of an accompanying adult. If one adult is traveling with two infants, one seat must be purchased for one infant, and the other may be held on the lap.

Service dogs trained to help customers with visual, hearing, or mobility impairments can travel on Airnorth flights. In addition, Airnorth works closely with Qantas Freight to arrange the transportation of animals on Airnorth flights. Qantas Freight also offers a range of services for unaccompanied animal transportation.
