Air Astana Check-in rules

Baggage allowances differ depending on the cabin type: Business Class - 2 seats up to 32 kg each; Economy Class - 2 seats up to 23 kg each; Economy Class - 1 seat up to 23 kg. The total size of each individual piece of luggage (length + width + height) must not exceed 158 cm.

Air Astana Baggage rules

On domestic and international flights unaccompanied children from 6 to 15 years old may travel unaccompanied. For domestic travel within Kazakhstan, unaccompanied minors aged 6 to 14 years old pay 50% of the applicable adult fare. Unaccompanied minors aged 15 years old pay the applicable adult fare. For international travel, unaccompanied minors ages 6 to 11 pay 75% of the applicable full adult fare. Unaccompanied minors aged 12 to 15 years old pay the applicable full adult fare.

Unaccompanied minors in Air Astana

Infants under 2 years old without an assigned seat on domestic flights within Kazakhstan and on international flights to/from Kazakhstan they travel for free, on international flights between foreign countries through Kazakhstan they travel at a 90% discount of the full adult fare. The infant must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 16. Children aged 2-14 years inclusive On domestic flights within Kazakhstan they can fly at a 50% discount of the applicable full adult fare.

Air Astana Infants policy

The airline allows the carriage of cats, dogs, fish, and turtles. Birds and rodents cannot be carried in the passenger cabin, but can be carried in the cargo compartment. The maximum weight of an animal transported in the cabin is 8 kg (17 lbs), including the weight of the container. A passenger may carry only one container. For safe storage on board the aircraft, the container must be no larger than 30 x 47 x 27 cm The maximum weight of an animal carried in the luggage compartment is 50 kg, including the weight of the container. Animals exceeding this weight limit must be shipped as air waybill cargo. Animals weighing more than 40 kg must be shipped in sturdy wooden containers.
