SalamAir is an Omani low cost airline based in Muscat. It was founded in 2016 and is owned by several national institutions. The airline has seen rapid growth with a fleet of more than10 Airbus A320 family aircraft and over 30 destinations served. Despite being a low cost carrier, SalamAir also offers a dedicated premium class called Luban.

Check in rules

The airline does not offer online check-in on its website. Passengers must check in at the airport. The airline recommends that passengers arrive at the airport two hours before their scheduled departure time. The check-in desk closes 20 minutes before departure.

Baggage

Passengers are allowed one piece of unchecked carry-on baggage weighing 7 kg (56 cm x 45 cm x 25 cm) free of charge. Passengers can choose a check-in baggage weight from 20 to 30 kg during the booking process. Passengers can carry no more than 20 kg of check-in baggage in addition to the baggage allowance indicated on the ticket.

The airline does not provide an escort service for minors.

Infants

Infants are defined as children under two years of age. Infants may fly without a seat on the plane. If you wish, you can buy a seat for an infant at the infant fare. Children over two years of age must have their seat on the plane. If one adult travels with two infants, one seat must be purchased for one infant, and the other may be held on the lap.
