Air Canada recommends checking in no later than: within Canada (domestic flights) 90 minutes before departure; to/from the United States 120-180 minutes before departure; and international flights 180 minutes before departure at Canadian airports and 240 minutes before departure at international airports. Online check-in begins 24 hours before departure and closes at least 45 minutes before departure for domestic flights and at least 60 minutes before departure for international flights (including the United States).

Air Canada Rouge Baggage rules

Air Canada offers a service for unaccompanied minors. Children aged 8 to 11 (inclusive) may only travel unaccompanied if the Unaccompanied Minor service has been purchased. Children aged 12 to 17 years old can travel alone without restriction. The "Unaccompanied Minor" service is optional.

Infants younger than 7 days old are not allowed on Air Canada flights. You can travel for free with an infant on your lap until his or her 2nd birthday on flights within Canada. Also, there is no charge for carrying an infant on your lap between Canada and the U.S., but taxes apply. Children under 2 years of age who occupy their own seat pay the applicable adult fare on flights within Canada and between Canada and the U.S. (no discount).

Air Canada Rouge Infants policy

Air Canada allows cats and dogs at least 12 weeks old to be transported in the cabin or in the baggage compartment. A pet carrier is considered one standard carry-on bag allowed on board. Soft-sided carriers are recommended for carriage in the cabin. The maximum dimensions of padded carriers must not exceed 27 cm in height, 40 cm in width and 55 cm in length.
