Registration options: automatic check-in, web check-in, mobile check-in, kiosk (totem) check-in. Online check-in begins 24 hours prior to departure and closes 60 minutes prior to departure. Check-in desks open three hours prior to departure and close 60 minutes prior to departure.

Baggage

Passengers are allowed to take on board hand luggage with a maximum size of 55 cm x 40 m x 25 cm, and weighing up to 10 kg. Maximum weight of checked baggage is 23 kg, size up to 158 cm (sum of all dimensions).

Unaccompanied minors

The Unaccompanied Minors service allows children ages 4 to 11 to travel with Air Austral staff. Air Austral agents will accompany your child through all necessary checkpoints and onto the flight. Upon arrival, Air Austral agents will accompany your child until he or she has been handed over to a designated guardian.

Infants

Children under two years of age are considered infants. Infants younger than seven days old are not allowed on the flight. Infants do not need a separate seat. They may travel on the lap of an accompanying adult. The cost of flights is 10% of the regular adult fare. One adult may travel with two infants. In this case you need to buy one seat for one infant, and the other can be on the adult's lap.

Pets

Only dogs and cats weighing less than 6 kg can be transported in the cabin. Guide dogs are also welcome. Any other animal will be transported in the cargo compartment after obtaining permission from Air Austral. The weight of the animal and the container is not included in the baggage allowance. In the cargo compartment, pets must be transported in regulatory containers specially designed for air travel.
