Unaccompanied Minor Service provides assistance to help check-in and board a minor onto WestJet aircraft. This is a mandatory service for passengers travelling alone between the ages of 8 and 11. Passengers who have reached their 12th birthday are able to travel on their own. This service is optional for children travelling alone between the ages of 12 and 17.

Infants are defined as children under two years of age. If you plan to travel with an infant less than eight days old, WestJet will require a confirmation letter from your doctor giving your newborn permission to fly. Children up to two years old are not required to have their own seat. Only one lap child is allowed per adult. If one adult travels with more than one infant under two years of age, a seat will have to be purchased for each additional infant.

WestJet welcomes several different pets (dogs, cats, rabbits, and some types of birds) to join you in the cabin. For pets traveling in the cabin, carriers should have maximum dimensions of 41 cm x 21.5 cm x 25.4 cm. In addition, WestJet welcomes certain animals (cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, chinchillas, guinea pigs, and hedgehogs) to travel as checked baggage in the hold. The maximum combined weight of your pet and carrier is 45 kg. For pets traveling in the hold, carriers should not exceed the dimensions 101 cm x 68 cm x 76 cm.
