Current BA Cityflyer (CJ) seat map listing

BA Cityflyer was established in 2007 by British Airways to operate its regional services out of London City Airport. It also has some operations out of other UK airports such as Edinburgh, Glasgow and Belfast. The original fleet of Avro regional jets was replaced with Embraer E190 aircraft, operating in a 98 seat configuration. All flights are operated under British Airways flight numbers and colours.

Check in rules

BA Cityflyer allows passengers can do a web check-in 24 hrs before departure. All domestic flights must have checked in at least 60 minutes before departure. The last call for international flights is 75 minutes before departure. At all airports, boarding ends 25 minutes before takeoff. Therefore, customers should be at Check-in at least 2 hours before their flight is due to depart, as per BA Cityflyer's recommendation.

Baggage

Carry-on baggage cannot exceed 114 centimeters in combined width, length, and height. No maximum weight applies to carry-on baggage. Due to limited overhead space, BA Cityflyer passengers traveling on flights with 50 seats or less are only permitted to carry one personal item on board the BA Cityflyer aircraft. Personal item (purse or laptop bag): 16 x 12 x 6in (40 x 30 x 15cm), up to 51lb (23kg). Standard carry-on: 22 x 18 x 10in (56 x 45 x 25cm), up to 51lb (23kg). Carry-on Bag Allowance For Infants and Toddlers (under 2) Riding in Your Lap: Up to 22 x 18 x 10in (56 x 45 x 25cm), maximum weight: 51lb (23kg).

Unaccompanied minors

British Airways does not have an unaccompanied minor service, although they allow children 14 years or older to fly alone. Specifically, If the child is 14 or 15 years old and traveling alone, a parental/guardian consent form must be completed before travel. The form is available to download here.

Infants

Children under two years of age are considered infants and may travel without a seat in the cabin. If the parents/guardians so wish, a seat may be purchased for the infant according to the infant fare. Children over two years of age must occupy a separate seat. Pets

Pets weighing up to six kg are allowed in the cabin. Pets must be transported in a waterproof bag or cage with maximum dimensions of 20 x 30 x 20 cm (7.5 x 11.5 x 7.5 inches).
