The airline was founded in 1984 as American Eagle Airlines. The name was later changed to Envoy Air but still operating under the American Eagle brand. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of American Airlines with its headquarters in Irvine, Texas. The airline operates a large fleet of Embraer regional aircraft and serves a vast network of over 150 destinations. The main hubs are Dallas / Fort Worth, Chicago O'Hare and Miami.

Check in rules

Passengers can online check-in. This opens 24 hours before departure and closes 45 minutes before scheduled departure. This may vary, however, depending on your route flying. It also offers airport check-in. Again, depending on your route flying, airport check-in will open between 4 hours and 45 minutes before departure.

Baggage

Carry-on baggage cannot exceed 114 centimeters in combined width, length and height. Envoy Air' standard checked baggage / hold luggage policy details follow: 2 bags standard, up to 10 bags maximum (up to 4 bags on Envoy Air Connection). Maximum dimensions: 62 inches or 157 centimeters (length + width + height).

Unaccompanied minors

The airline does not provide an escort service for minors.

Infants

Infants under two years of age may travel free of charge on the lap of a parent (of any age) or the lap of an accompanying adult aged 16 years or older traveling in the same cabin. We welcome infants from 2 days old, but infants up to 7 days old need to fill out a Passenger Health Care form before the flight.
