Air Chathams Passengers must be checked in at least 45 minutes before scheduled departure time for the Chatham Islands and Norfolk Island flights, and passengers must be checked in at least 30 minutes before scheduled departure time for all other flights.

Baggage

Each confirmed Air Chathams fare includes an allowance of one piece of checked baggage. This piece of checked baggage may weigh up to 23kg for adults, children, and unaccompanied minors. This piece of checked baggage may weigh up to 5kg for infants. Carriage of additional pieces of baggage may be purchased at check-in or in advance online. No one piece of luggage may exceed 32kg without prior express written authorization from Air Chathams. Each piece of checked baggage should not exceed total linear dimensions (length + width + height) of 158cm.

Unaccompanied minors

Air Chathams does not provide an escort service for minors. A person between the ages of 12 and 16 may travel alone or as an unaccompanied minor at the request of a parent or guardian.

Infants

Passengers aged seven days to 24 months are categorized as infants. They may travel for free on Air Chathams domestic flights only when accompanied by an adult passenger paying the applicable adult fare. Infants traveling free of charge do not need to occupy a seat. However, if a seat is required, a child fare will be charged.

Pets

Air Chathams transports animals in the cargo hold. The maximum weight of your pet together with the kennel is 23 kg, up to 32 kg, over 32 kg (depending on your choice).
