Air Samarkand is a private Uzbek airline founded in 2022 by local entrepreneurs. Operations started at the end of 2023. The airline's base of operations is at the new Samarkand International Airport. Air Samarkand aims to connect Uzbekistan's 3rd largest city with the outside world. Both scheduled passenger services and seasonal charter flights are operated. The first aircraft to join the fleet was an Airbus A330-300 and its first destination was Istanbul. The fleet has grown since to include a variety of Airbus aircraft.

Check in rules
Air Samarkand passengers must arrive early for check-in to complete all pre-flight formalities, including check-in, baggage payment, security checks, and required documentation. For international flights, check-in opens 3 hours before departure and closes 40 minutes prior. For domestic flights, check-in begins 2 hours before departure and closes 30 minutes before.

Per Air Samarkand's baggage transportation rules, Economy Class passengers are allowed hand luggage up to 8 kg (17.6 lbs) and checked baggage up to 25 kg (55 lbs), with dimensions not exceeding a total of 203 cm (80 inches) when adding length, width, and height. Business Class passengers may carry hand luggage up to 10 kg (22 lbs) and checked baggage up to 32 kg (70 lbs), also with dimensions not exceeding 203 cm (80 inches) in the sum of the three measurements.

Children aged 5 to 16 can travel with an adult (18 or older) or unaccompanied under the airline's supervision. For unaccompanied travel, a confirmed booking and completed Application and Declaration are required. An additional fee applies for this service: mandatory for children aged 5 to 12 and optional for those 12 to 16, costing 30 EUR per flight segment for international routes. Only one unaccompanied child is allowed per flight attendant, with a maximum of two if the second child is between 10 and 16 years old.

Infants can travel after 7 days from birth or, in exceptional cases, 48 hours after birth with appropriate medical clearance. One passenger may accompany up to three children under 2 years old. Only one child under 2 can travel without a separate seat; additional children of this age must have their own seats. A separate seat can be requested for each child under 2 at the fare for children aged 2 to 12. Seats for infants without a separate seat include an additional oxygen mask, so they must be seated in designated areas. Only one additional oxygen mask per row is available, so multiple infants without seats cannot be in the same row.

Visually impaired passengers may travel with a guide dog upon providing documentation of the disability and the dog's training. Pets (such as cats, dogs, birds, and small tamed animals) can be transported as baggage if arranged with the airline in advance. The pet, along with its cage, must not exceed 10 kg, and the cage size must not exceed 115 cm in total dimensions. The pet must stay in the closed cage under the seat during the flight. Only one guide dog per passenger is allowed without a cage. It is prohibited to place animals near emergency exits or to transport reptiles, rodents, fish, and certain wild or dangerous animals.
