Malta Air Travel is a company operating in Malta, and is trading under the name of Malta MedAir. Check-in Deadlines are different at every airport, and passengers are advised to be aware of these deadlines to ensure a smooth journey.Malta MedAir reserves the right to cancel a passenger's reservation if they do not comply with the specified Check-in Deadlines. Passengers will be informed of the Check-in Deadline for their first flight with Malta MedAir. For subsequent flights, passengers should inform themselves of the Check-in Deadlines, which can be found in the airline's timetable or obtained from Malta MedAir or their Authorized Agents. Passengers must be present at the boarding gate no later than the time specified by Malta MedAir during check-in. If passengers fail to arrive at the boarding gate on time, Malta MedAir may cancel the space reserved for them. Malta MedAir will not be liable for any loss or expense incurred due to a passenger's failure to comply with these provisions.

Malta MedAir allows 1 cabin bag with a weight of no more than 10 kg/ 22 lbs. Passengers may also carry on as hand luggage a smaller personal item, such as a handbag or laptop bag. The Malta MedAir carry-on baggage size is 40 x 55 x 25 cm. The permitted dimensions for the personal item are max. 40 x 30 x 15 cm. Hand baggage beyond the maximum weight and dimensions or second pieces (e.g large handbag, backpacks, a second hand baggage etc) will be subject to a charge of EUR 80 at the airport. Economy: 1 bag x 23 kg/ 50 lbs. Bags may measure up to 158 cm/ 62 inches in total (width + length +depth). No bag may exceed 32 kg/ 70 lbs in weight, for health and safety reasons. Infants (0 up to 2 years) 10 kgs per infant. Children (2 up to 11 years) same as adult baggage allowance

Malta MedAir considers those passengers aged 11 years and 11 months or younger to be Children, and refer to newborns up to the age of 1 year 11 months as Infants. Children travelling in Economy Class are allowed 1 piece of 23 kgs free baggage weight. Children travelling in Business Class are entitled to the same allowance as adults are. An Infant is allowed 10 kgs checked baggage.

Infants travelling on infant fares (no seat) must be passengers who are under the age of 2 years for the entire journey (ie, departure date of all segments within ticket validity). An infant who reaches his/her second birthday before utilizing the return segment of the air ticket will be classified as child for the return segment. Air ticket reservations for such cases may be made with our reservations department. Online bookings are not possible. As infants travelling on Malta Malta MedAir flights do not occupy a seat, for added comfort you may wish to purchase an extra seat through our reservations department. This will allow you to carry any Malta MedAir approved car-seats on board our aircraft to be used by your infant during the flight. Approval and further information may be obtained from Malta MedAir

Pets carried in the passenger cabin (PETC) – only cats & dogs up to 10 kgs including container. Pet as Accompanied Checked in Baggage (AVIH) – cats, dogs, hares, rabbits, ferrets and birds up to 32kgs including container. You are welcome to bring your small cat or dog with you in the Malta MedAir cabin on the flights, as long as it can comfortably fit in its container under the seat in front of you without blocking passage to the main aisle of the airplane.
