Registration options: automatic check-in, web check-in, mobile check-in, kiosk (totem) check-in. For domestic flights, online check-in is open from 72 hours to 1 hour before departure. For international flights, you can check in online 24 hours to 1 hour before departure. Check-in counters open three hours before departure and close 60 minutes before departure.

Volaris allows one piece of carry-on baggage weighing no more than 10 kg. Personal items such as a briefcase or a purse will also be allowed on board. The total weight of both items may not exceed 10 kg. Volaris Vuela Basic fares do not include free checked baggage.

Children ages 5 to 12 traveling alone are considered unaccompanied minors and may only travel with Volaris is With You. The service is not required for children from 13 to 17 years old. Children between the ages of 2 and 4 can travel as unaccompanied minors only when traveling with a family member between the ages of 13 and 17. In this case, both will be considered unaccompanied minors and must use the Volaris is With You service.

An infant less than two years old and over seven days old may travel on an adult's lap at a reduced fare. Only children under two years of age may travel at a reduced rate. If your child turns two years old during the trip, you must pay the full price for the return ticket. Passengers may bring an infant car seat if the infant travels in his or her own seat.

Volaris allows small cats and dogs to travel in the cabin. The pet and kennel must not weigh more than 22 pounds, and the kennel must not exceed 17.5 inches in length, 12 inches in width, and 7.5 inches in height. Two pets are allowed per flight. Volaris may transport your pet in checked baggage in the aircraft cargo hold in accordance with its rules.
