For domestic flights, check-in opens 72 hours and 60 minutes before departure. For international flights, you can check in between 24 hours and 60 minutes before departure. Check-in desks open three hours before departure and close 60 minutes before departure.

The total size limit for Volaris carry-on baggage is 41.2 inches or 104.6 centimeters. The maximum weight of checked-in Volaris baggage may be 25 kg. Approximately 45 kilograms or 101 pounds of checked-in Volaris luggage may weigh overweight.

Children over the age of five can travel alone. A minors' escort service is compulsory for children 5-12 years old. For children over the age of 12 years old the minors' escort service is not compulsory and can be booked on request of parents.

Children under two years of age are considered infants. Children younger than seven days old are not allowed on the flight. Infants do not need a separate seat. They may travel on the lap of an accompanying adult. One adult may travel with two children provided that one of them travels in a car seat (approved for airplane use) at full cost and the other sits on an adult's lap.

The airline allows pets in the cabin. The animal must travel in a cage without wheels. One animal in the cage is allowed except puppies between 8 and 24 weeks of age or if the animals have enough space to move around. The weight of the kennel, together with the pet, may not exceed 10 kg.
