Rano Air is a new Nigerian airline based in Kano. The carrier was founded in 2019 and started operations in 2023. Rano Air operates scheduled regional passenger services to various domestic destinations. The airline has chosen the Embraer ERJ145 as the backbone of its fleet. Check in rules

For domestic journeys with Rano Air, passengers are required to show a valid ID or an international passport. The check-in process starts 2 hours prior to the planned departure. It concludes 30 minutes before takeoff for domestic flights and 60 minutes ahead for international ones.

Baggage

Rano Air offers a complimentary baggage allowance of 10 kg. If luggage surpasses this limit, additional fees are incurred. Economy class travelers can check in a single piece of luggage weighing up to 15 kilograms. Infants aren't entitled to a baggage allowance. Any luggage exceeding the set weight will incur a fee payable at the airport. Passengers are permitted one hand luggage piece, weighing no more than 7 kg with dimensions not surpassing 20” x 15” x 10” (15cm x 37cm x25cm). This is in addition to a handbag or laptop.

Unaccompanied minors

Rano Air offers a service for unaccompanied minors aged between 5 and 12 traveling without an adult. To avail this service, the guardian's passport and the child's travel documents are needed. Details of individuals escorting the child to and from the airport must also be provided for communication purposes. Unaccompanied minors, aged 2 to 11, are charged the full ticket price.

Infants

Infants, defined by Rano Air as passengers aged 0-23 months, can secure a ticket at 10% of the standard fare. Children aged between 2 and 11 are charged 75% of the accompanying adult's ticket rate.
