Current Trans Maldivian Airways (TMW) seat map listing

Trans Maldivian Airways, TMA for short, was founded in 1989 as Hummingbird Island Helicopters. The airline adopted its current name in the year 2000. TMA is the largest seaplane operator in the world flying to over 70 destinations around the archipelagic state. The airline operates a large fleet of De Havilland Twin Otters fitted with amphibious floats. Most flights connect to Velana International Airport, which is built on one of the nation's 1192 islands. From there TMA flies tourists to their individual island resorts. TMA's Twin Otters have a reduced passenger capacity in order to leave enough space for baggage.

Check in rules

Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) requires passengers to be present at the departure destination 45 minutes prior to the scheduled flight time. Check-in for your TMA flight is available once you've completed immigration procedures from your international flight. For those who've booked directly with a hotel or through a package holiday, check-in is facilitated at the designated resort counter or via a tour operator representative in the Arrival Area. It's essential to transfer any items you need on hand to your carry-on luggage, as checked bags are sent separately to Noovilu Seaplane Terminal.
