Auric Air is a privately owned Tanzanian airline founded in 2001. Its main operating base is at Dar es Salaam. Auric Air provides scheduled domestic and regional services as well as charter flights. The backbone of the fleet is made up of Cessna Caravans which are able to transport up to 12 passengers to semi prepared strips all over East Africa. The fleet also includes a single De Havilland Canada Dash 8 with its seat map featured on our site.

Check in rules

Auric Air is encouraging passengers to use online checkin. Passengers withour bags can head straight to the gate at the time of boarding i.e. 20 min before departure. Check-in counters close 20 minutes prior to Scheduled Departure Time at major airports and 15 minutes prior to Scheduled Departure Time at bush strips and other airstrips. Passengers failing to check-in on time will not be accepted for travel and will forfeit their ticket. Passenger will be marked as No-Show and will be liable for a No-Show fee.

Baggage

Total Auric Air baggage allowance for each passenger‚ inclusive of hand baggage‚ cameras‚ filming equipment and any other personal item including loose clothing‚ is 20kgs (44lbs) per passenger. Excess baggage will only be carried‚ at the sole discretion of the Captain of the aircraft. Excess Baggage is available in slabs of 10kgs. Excess baggage cost: $60.00 & $30.00 per slab. Cost varies on the route/class booked. Maximum 4 slabs (40kgs) of additional luggage can be booked per passenger. Auric Air accepts suitcases‚ as long as they are within the size limit 90cm x 65cm x 35cm

Unaccompanied minors

For safety and security reasons‚ unaccompanied Minors under the age of 12 are not permitted. Infants under the age of 2 weeks cannot be accepted for Auric Air travel.

Infants

Infants under 2 years of age are carried free provided they do not occupy an Auric Air seat. Children aged 11 and under are carried at 75% of the adult base fare.

Pets

Carriage of Pets is not permitted on scheduled Auric Air flights regardless of whether the animal is in airline-approved container.
