Malta Air is a subsidiary of Ryanair and the cabin has a similar layout with a slight change in colors. The 189 seats on the B737-800 have a seat pitch ranging between 29” and 30” (74-76cm) and are in a pre-reclined state. The recommended seats are: Seats 1A, 1B and 1C that come with the best legroom on board. They are narrower, however, due to the tray table in the arm rests and the curvature of the fuselage. The proximity to the lavatory and galley make them busier as well. Seats 2D, 2E and 2F on the right are bulkhead seats with very good knee space. Again, they have the small tray table in the arm rest and all cabin luggage must be stored in the bins above for take-off and landing. The over-wing exit rows 16 and 17 offer an additional 8” (20cm) of legroom but also feature the tray table in the arm rests. Expect the seats next to the exits to feel colder. We believe row 18 to have a slightly better legroom without any compromises. At the back of the cabin we find the seats best avoided in the last row. They are narrower and the lavatories and galley behind them cause high traffic in the aisle. The following seats are missing a window: 11A, 12A and 12F. No WiFi or charging facilities are offered on board any Malta Air aircraft.
