Aeroitalia (XZ) fleet and travel rules
Aeroitalia is a new privately owned Italian airline headquartered in Rome. It started operations in 2022 from its hub at Forli using B737-800 aircraft in a single class configuration. Aeroitalia is backed by airline mogul Germán Efromovich and French banker Marc Bourgade. The airline is planning for a swift expansion that should see it flying intercontinental routes by 2023.

Check in rules
Aeroitalia online check-in is available from 24 hours to 3 hours before departure for Basic fares, from 7 days before departure for Basic fares with Early Check-in, and from 30 days before departure for Classic, Biz, and passengers who have purchased a seat. Airport check-in generally opens 3 hours before departure and closes 40 minutes before departure, although deadlines may vary by airport.

Baggage
Aeroitalia allows one small cabin bag up to 40 × 30 × 20 cm with all fares. Classic tickets issued from 19 June 2025 also include a large cabin bag up to 55 × 40 × 20 cm, while earlier Classic tickets include one checked bag up to 23 kg (50 lb) instead. Biz fares include a large cabin bag up to 10 kg (22 lb) and one checked bag up to 32 kg (70 lb). Basic fares do not include checked baggage.

Aeroitalia requires UM service for children aged 6 to under 14 traveling alone, or under 18 for non-Italian nationals. The service must be booked through the airline’s Call Centre at least 48 hours before departure, subject to availability and an additional fee. Passengers must arrive at check-in at least 2 hours before departure with the required forms and travel documents. UM service is not available on connecting or transit flights.
Unaccompanied minors in AeroitaliaInfants
Aeroitalia accepts infants aged 8 days to 23 months, who must travel on an adult’s lap using an infant seat belt provided by the cabin crew. Infants pay a fixed fee depending on the route. Infants aged 8 days to 1 month also require a medical certificate issued within 5 days before each flight, confirming they are fit to travel.

Aeroitalia allows trained and recognized guide and assistance dogs to travel free of charge in the cabin, subject to a valid training certificate and approval of the required documentation. The service must be requested at least 48 hours before departure. Emotional support dogs are not eligible for free assistance-dog travel and may be transported for a fee under the airline’s regular pet rules.
