Current AirAsia India (I5) seat map listing

AIX Connect was formerly known as AirAsia India. The carrier was fully acquired by the Tata group and is now a subsidiary of Air India. It was rebranded to AIX Connect in 2022 and going forward, the airline will be merged with Air India Express. The low cost airline operates a fleet of about two dozen Airbus A320 aircraft configured in a single class layout and serves close to 20 domestic destinations.

Check in rules

For AirAsia India flights, you can web check-in from 14 days to 1 hour before the scheduled departure time. Check-in desks open three hours before departure and close 60 minutes before departure.

Baggage

Guests are allowed the following items free of charge: two pieces of carry-on baggage weighing no more than seven kilograms. In addition, passengers traveling with an infant are allowed an additional free carry-on baggage allowance of seven kilograms.

Unaccompanied minors

Children over the age of 12 can travel alone. The airline provides an escort service for minors. The service is not compulsory and is provided at the request of parents/guardians.

Infants

An infant is a child of two years of age. A child may fly without a separate airplane seat or on a stroller with an accompanying adult. However, a child of two years of age or older must occupy an individual seat during the journey. Pets

Airlines do not allow pets. The exception is for flights operated by AirAsia India (i5 flights) and AirAsia Japan (DJ flights), on which pets are allowed.
