Check in rules

Check-in can be done online (via the website or mobile app) or at the airport. Check-in desks open three hours before departure and close 60 minutes before departure. Online check-in begins 24 hours before departure and closes 60 minutes before departure.

Baggage

All passengers can carry one cabin baggage (maximum dimensions: 56 cm x 36 cm x 23 cm) and one handbag or laptop bag (maximum dimensions: 40 cm x 30 cm x 10 cm). The total weight of these two bags must not exceed 7 kg. Any individual bag you check in must be less than 32kg and have dimensions less than 119cm x 119cm x 81cm.

Unaccompanied minors

AirAsia does not allow children below the age of 12 years to travel alone unless they are accompanied by an adult passenger who is at least 18 years old and seated next to them throughout the flight.

Infants

Infants are defined as children under two years of age. Infants may fly without a seat on the plane, on the lap of an accompanying adult. If you wish you can buy a seat for an infant at the infant fare. Children over two years of age must have their own seat on the plane. If one adult is traveling with two infants, one seat must be purchased for one infant, and the other may be held on the lap.
