In 1999, IrAero, a Russian airline, was established. Its headquarters are in the Russian city of Irkutsk. The airline operates scheduled, charter, and cargo flights to and from China, the CIS, and Russia. Barnaul, Blagoveshchensk, Chita, Krasnoyarsk-Yemelyanovo, Magadan, Moscow-Domodedovo, Moscow-Zhukovsky, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Ulan-Ude, and Yakutsk are the principal places where the company offers its services. IrAero operates 60 routes altogether. There are 28 aircraft in the fleet of the company. IrAero uses seven Sukhoi SSJ 100-95 aircrafts for operations. Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) is a Russian short-haul passenger aircraft. The aircraft is designed to operate on low-capacity air routes up to 3000 km (basic configuration) and up to 4500 km (LR - extended range configuration). Sukhoi Superjet 100 family consists of two planes with 75 and 95 seats (can vary depending on the cabin layout). In addition, for the first time, Sukhoi Superjet 100 has the algorithmic protection against the tail touching the runway in case of the pilot's error during the takeoff.
