Airlines operating Tupolev Tu-204 airplanes
The Tupolev Tu-204 is a Russian twin-engine, medium-range narrow-body jet airliner designed to carry approximately 210 passengers. Development began in the Soviet Union in the late 1980s as a modern replacement for the older Tu-154, featuring advanced technology such as fly-by-wire controls and a supercritical wing. It is powered by Aviadvigatel PS-90 turbofan engines or Rolls-Royce RB211 engines. The Tu-204 offers a cruising speed of around 810-850 km/h and a range of about 4,300 km to 5,800 km depending on the model. It has been used mainly by Russian and CIS airlines, including passenger and freighter versions, with versions certified for European operations. Limited commercial passenger operations remain today but an increasing number of older airframes are being refurbished and put back into service.
