The Airbus A350-900 is a long-range, wide-body, twin-engine passenger aircraft. It had its maiden flight on June 14, 2013 and entered service on January 15, 2015. The aircraft is powered by two Rolls Royce Trent XWB high bypass turbofan engines, giving it a range of 8300nm (15372 km) with a typical load of 315 passengers. The A350 family features an extra wide cabin enabling wider seats and aisles than its direct competitor. The wings and fuselage are primarily constructed of composite materials, greatly reducing the aircraft's weight. Together with the new generation engines and state of the art systems, the Airbus A350-900 boasts a much improved fuel efficiency while reducing emissions.
