Check in rules

By implementing online check-in via its official website and WeChat applet, Air Guilin has simplified the check-in procedure. Passengers can now choose their seats and finish the process by just inputting their name, ID number, and departure city. Following information verification, travelers may print their A4 boarding permits, which contain all pertinent flight information such name, flight number, and boarding time. Bypassing conventional airport check-in lines and going straight to security checks with their A4 paper boarding pass, passengers may take advantage of this innovation and cut down on airport wait times. After checking in online, travelers with checked bags must make a brief stop at the airport's manual counter.

Baggage

Under Air Guilin's baggage policy, travelers are permitted to check one piece of unchecked luggage for free that weighs no more than 7 kg and measures no more than 20 × 30 × 40 cm. When it comes to checked luggage, the limitation varies. Passengers traveling in economy class with Y class tickets or those qualified for certain discounts are limited to 20 kg, while those traveling in B/H/K class tickets or receiving a 30% discount are only permitted 10 kg. There is no complimentary checked baggage allowance for travelers whose economy flights are less than 30% discounted. Certain restrictions apply to the allocations for promotional tickets and special categories. In addition, travelers who check in together can pool their allowances, and those who unintentionally switch from one cabin class to another keep the allowance from their initial ticket.

Unaccompanied minors

For children aged 5 to under 12, who are flying alone, Air Guilin offers a full unaccompanied minor service. This does not apply to minors under 5, who are ill, disabled, or who are traveling on unapproved tickets, code-shared flights, or connecting flights. Due to limited availability, the service must be requested in advance while booking or at least 60 minutes before to departure at the airport. To request this service, fill out a "Special Passenger Service Request Form." A valid ID, ticket, and service sheet are required documentation for unaccompanied kids. When there are delays or cancellations, committed staff helps with check-in, security, and luggage, making sure the kid is taken care of and is given accommodations if needed. While the youngster is being cared for by flight attendants, ground personnel safely transfers the child to the person who has been assigned to pick them up at the destination.

Infants

Air Guilin's travel notice outlines specific guidelines for infants and their accompanying adults. Infants over 14 days old (or over 90 days for premature babies) and under 2 years old are welcome to fly. For domestic flights, infants must be accompanied by an adult over 18 with full legal capacity. Infant tickets cost 10% of the adult's full fare without seat allocation; if a seat is needed, a child ticket must be purchased. An adult can travel with a maximum of two infants, buying an infant ticket for one and a child ticket for the other if both are traveling. Strollers or baby cradles can be checked in for free, provided they are fully foldable. If a stroller fits within 20x40x55 cm and weighs under 7 kg, it may be carried on and stored in the overhead compartment. Oversized or overweight strollers must be checked.

Pets

Due to limitations on the types of aircraft it may handle, Air Guilin has certain rules for passengers flying with small animals. These rules mostly concern the carriage of assistance dogs within the cabin. The airline accepts small animals as checked baggage but only allows service dogs—such as guide dogs, hearing dogs, and other support dogs—to enter the cabin. Domesticated dogs and cats are allowed to travel with the airline, subject to weight restrictions. A "Animal Quarantine Certificate," current service dog identity and training certifications, proof of vaccination, and a passenger's "Disability Certificate of the People's Republic of China" are among the necessary paperwork. Applications for service dog transportation must be made 24 hours before departure through Air Guilin's ticket offices or authorized agents, with no charge for the service dog's transportation.
