Urumqi Air is a Chinese airline founded in 2014. It is based in Urumqi, Xinjiang, China. The airline is a subsidiary of Hainan Airlines and is part of the U-FLY Alliance. Urumqi Air operates on a low cost model with a fleet of Boeing B737-800 aircraft. Most are configured in a single class high density layout but there is also a configuration with a two class layout. Baggage

Urumqi Air' checked baggage must be securely packed, locked, and adhere to size and weight limits (not exceeding 50 kg and dimensions of 40×60×100 cm). Dangerous goods labels must be removed. Carry-on baggage, managed by passengers, is limited to specific weights and sizes: business class allows two items up to 7 kg each (20×40×55 cm), economy class one item up to 7 kg (20×40×30 cm). Items exceeding these limits must be checked. Safety and airline regulations must be followed for all baggage.

Unaccompanied minors

Urumqi Air accepts unaccompanied minors (UMs) aged 5 to less than 12 years. Children under 5 are not accepted to travel alone. UMs can travel on self-operated flights without night stops or transfers, provided arrangements for child pickup at transfers are made. Check-in for UMs should be completed 60 minutes before flight departure. The limit for UMs aged 5-8 is five per flight; no limit for those over 8. UMs enjoy a 50% discount on business and economy fares. On regional and international routes, UMs pay adult fares. Passports and visas must be checked for international travel.

Infants

Urumqi Air defines infants as passengers aged 14 days to under 2 years on travel date. Infants under 14 days old or premature infants under 90 days old (born before 37 weeks) are not accepted due to health risks. Infant tickets are 10% of the adult fare without a seat. Tickets are available through various channels, and booking must be done at least 90 minutes before flight departure. An adult can bring two infants, one without a seat and the other with a child ticket and seat. For seated infants, proper child restraint devices are required. Infants can have a foldable stroller or cradle, subject to cabin space availability.

Pets

Urumqi Air permits service dogs (including assistance, hearing, and guide dogs) for disabled passengers in the cabin. Required documents include the service dog's identity, training, work certificates, and quarantine certificate. Applications must be made 48 hours before flight departure. Service dogs must be muzzled and leashed in the cabin, lying at the feet of the passenger and not occupying seats. Apply through Urumqi Airlines ticket offices, Hainan Airlines airport offices, or their customer service hotline.
