Airlines operating Boeing 737-700 airplanes

The 737-700 is part of Boeing's Next Generation family of 737 aircraft developed to replace the earlier 737-300. The type was launched on the back of an order by Southwest Airlines. The NG series offers many enhancements compared to the previous generation with the main change being a new, much larger wing. This gives the type a much improved performance. The 737-700 can fly a typical two class load of 128 passengers over a distance of 3010nm (5570km). Boeing developed a few specialized versions of the type like a QC "Quick Change" variant that could be used for either passenger or cargo operations. A business jet variant BBJ and an extended range ER variant were also offered.
