Fleet

Check in rules

Check in online on the website or mobile app. You can check in for your flight online at any convenient time from 30 to 2 hours before departure. Once online check-in is complete, you must drop off your checked baggage at the baggage drop-off counter at the airport. Passengers departing from Mumbai need to check in online at least 4 hours before the scheduled departure time. Check-in kiosks and check-in counters are also available at the airport

Baggage

The maximum weight of any piece of checked baggage is 32 kg and the dimensions (length + width + height) must not exceed 158 cm. For dimensions between 158 and 300 cm you will be charged an additional fee. If the dimensions of the luggage exceed 300 cm, it is necessary to arrange in advance to carry the luggage as cargo. Infants are allowed one seat weighing 23 kg, except for the Mauritius-Rodriguez stage or vice versa, where one seat weighing 5 kg is allowed. Cabin baggage allowance: economy class - 1 piece of cabin baggage weighing up to 7 kg, business class - 2 pieces of cabin baggage weighing up to 7 kg each.

Unaccompanied minors

Children between the ages of 5 and 14 may travel alone as unaccompanied minors on our flights. For travel to and through Paris, UM passengers may only travel on flights operated by Air Mauritius. Guardians must inform Air Mauritius of UM at the time of booking the flight and complete the required documentation. A service charge may apply. An adult fare applies for UM and such tickets cannot be purchased online.

Infants

If you have reserved a seat for your infant, the Child Restraint Device is mandatory. Child Restraint Device includes car seats or upper torso harnesses for your infant/ child on flights operated by Air Mauritius. These are subject to certain conditions and best practices which you may check. We know babies need special care to be taken of their tiny tummies. Please book your infant's meal at least 24 hours prior to the flight to ensure that your little one gets their choice of meal onboard.

Pets

Pets can only be transported in checked baggage from Mauritius and depending on the local regulations of the country you are going to visit. This includes pets such as cats, dogs, birds, etc. The weight of the animal together with the container must not exceed 32 kg.
