Thai Viejet Air was founded in 2014 and is a subsidiary of Vietjet Air, Vietnam. The airline operates low cost services out of its base at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport. The fleet comprises A320 family aircraft configured in a single class layout. Boeing 737 MAX aircraft are on order. The airline flies to over 10 domestic destinations as well as several cities in neighbouring countries: Vietnam, Cambodia, India, Singapore and Taiwan.

Check in rules

Registration can be done online (via the VietjetAir website or mobile app) or at the airport. Online check-in begins 24 hours before departure and ends 60 minutes before departure. Online check-in is available for domestic flights only. Check-in desks open three hours before departure and close 60 minutes before departure.

Baggage

All VietjetAir passengers are entitled to carry one piece of carry-on baggage and one small personal item free of charge. For Economy basic fare passengers, the total weight of these bags may not exceed 7 kg. For Skybass fare passengers, the total weight of these bags may not exceed 10 kg. Baggage dimensions must not exceed 56 cm x 36 cm x 23 cm. There is no free checked baggage allowance on the basic economy fare. However, checked baggage can be purchased for an additional fee. Passengers traveling on the Skyboss fare are entitled to 30 kg of checked baggage free of charge.

Unaccompanied minors

Children under 12 years old are not carried unless they are accompanied by passengers who are 18 years old or older. For children 12 to 14 years of age who are not accompanied by passengers 18 years old or older, they are required to register services for unaccompanied minors with our authorized Agents or our Hotline at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure times.

Infants

Children under two years of age are considered infants. Infants younger than seven days old are not allowed on the flight. Infants do not need a separate seat. They may travel on the lap of an accompanying adult. One adult may travel with two infants. In this case you need to buy one seat for one infant, and the other can be on the adult's lap.
