Registration can be done online (via the website or mobile app) or at the airport. The check-in desk opens 2 hours (2 hours 30 minutes in Nantes) before departure and closes 35 minutes before departure. The check-in counter closes 40 minutes before departure at all airports in Italy and Greece. At all airports in Morocco and Algeria, the check-in counter opens 3 hours before departure and closes 60 minutes before departure. Online check-in starts 24 hours before departure and closes 60 minutes before departure.

Baggage

Volotea allows one carry-on bag and one personal item (purse, briefcase, laptop bag) per passenger fee free. Carry-on and personal items’ total weight should not exceed 10kg, plus abide by the following size restrictions: cabin bag - 115 centimeters (55 x 40 x 20 cm) including handles and wheels; personal item – 75 centimeters (35 x 20 x 20 cm). Volotea’s standard checked baggage / hold luggage policy details: five bags maximum; maximum combined weight: 50 kilograms.

Unaccompanied minors

Airlines does not provide an unaccompanied minor service. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Passengers age 12 or older may fly alone if the flight does not depart from Italy or Croatia. For these cases the minimum age is 14 years old.

Infants

Infants are defined as children younger than two years old. Infants younger than seven days old cannot fly for safety reasons. Infants fly on their mother's or father's lap. If one adult travels with two infants, one seat must be purchased for one child, and the other can be held on the lap. The airline does not take cribs on board.

Pets

Only two animals will be admitted on board the cabin on a single flight. Cats and dogs are permitted in the cabin if the combined weight of the pet and carrier does not exceed 8 kg. Therefore, each passenger can travel with one pet, and only two pets are permitted on board the same flight. For pets traveling in the cabin, carriers should not exceed the dimensions of 50 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm. pets are not permitted to travel as checked baggage.
