Children between the ages of 5 and 12 traveling without a parent or legal guardian are considered unaccompanied minors on Helvetic Airways flights. The service is mandatory for children between the ages of 5 and 12 traveling unaccompanied by an adult over 18. Children ages 12-17 are not considered minors on Helvetic Airways flights.

Infants

Children under two years of age are not required to have their own seat. Only one lap child is allowed per adult. If one adult travels with more than one infant under two years of age, a seat must be purchased for each additional infant. A child under two years of age is usually charged 10% of the adult fare plus taxes, even if the infant will be on another passenger's lap during the flight.

Pets

Helvetic allows pets (dogs, cats, pet birds, etc.) to be transported in the cabin if the total weight of the pet and the carrier does not exceed 7 kg. For pets traveling in the cabin, carriers may not exceed 56cm x 32cm x 27cm. Pets that weigh more than the maximum limit for carriage in the cabin may instead be carried in the cargo area.
