Viva (VB) seat map listing

Viva was founded in 2006 and was called VivaAerobus until October 2024. Viva is fully owned by IAMSA, Mexico's largest bus company. It is a low cost airline with its main base at Monterrey International Airport. The airline maintains additional hubs at Cancun, Guadalajara, Los Cabos, Merida, Tijuana and both airports of Mexico City. International destinations are also served, mostly to the USA, Cuba and Colombia. Viva operates a large fleet of Airbus single aisle aircraft configured in a high density layout.

Check in rules

Registration can be done online (via the website or mobile app) or at the airport. Online check-in begins 72 hours before departure and ends four hours before departure. Check-in desks open 2 hours before departure (for domestic flights), 3 hours before departure (for international flights), and close 60 minutes before departure.

Baggage

Viva Aerobus allows each passenger to bring one pieces of luggage as carry-on as long as each item is within 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm. Passengers may also carry a personal item, such as a purse, briefcase, laptop bag or camera bag. The total weight of all three pieces cannot exceed 10 kg. Only passengers that purchased a VivaBasico or VivaPlus ticket have an included checked baggage allowance. VivaLight passengers do not have an included checked luggage allowance. VivaBasico and VivaPlus passengers are each allowed one bag that does not exceed 158 cm as a sum of its three dimensions. The maximum weights are as follows: VivaBasico: 15 kg, VivaPlus: 25 kg

Unaccompanied minors

Viva Aerobus does not provide an Unaccompanied Minor service. Children aged 14-17 are allowed to fly alone on domestic flights.

Infants

Infants are defined as children under two years of age. Babies must be at least seven days old to fly with us. Otherwise, you must present a medical certificate authorizing air travel. Infants may fly without a seat on the plane. If you wish, you can buy a seat for an infant at the infant fare. If one adult is traveling with two infants, one seat must be purchased for one infant, and the other may be held on the lap.

Pets

There is a maximum of 3 pets permitted in the cabin with VivaAerobus. Small cats and dogs can travel in the cabin if the combined weight of the pet and carrier does not exceed 10 kg. For pets traveling in the cabin, carriers must not exceed the dimensions of 40 cm x 30 cm x 20 cm. Dogs who weigh 32kg or less can travel in the hold. The maximum size for the carrier should not exceed 319 cm.
