Egyptair was founded on June 7, 1932, and began operations in July 1933. The company's head office is located in the Egyptair Administrative Complex Cairo, Egypt. The airline's main hub is Cairo International Airport. Egyptair is also based at Borg El Arab Airport, Sharm El Sheikh International Airport. The airline is a member of Star Alliance. Egyptair operates scheduled passenger and cargo services to more than 70 destinations in Europe, Africa, the Middle, and the Far East, the US, and Canada. The airline also operates domestic flights. Check in rules
You can check in at the airport or online. Online check-in is available 48 hours before departure and no later than 90 minutes before your flight's scheduled departure time. Boarding gates close 30 minutes before departure. Unfortunately, Egyptair online check-in is not currently available at all airports. Airport check-in begins two hours before departure.

You can take hand luggage in the cabin. In economy class you may bring one hand baggage item weighing a maximum of eight kg and measuring no more than 118 cm (55 + 40 + 23). In business class you may take two hand baggage items, each weighing a maximum of 8 kg and measuring no more than 118 cm (55 + 40 + 23). Checked-in baggage may not exceed 23 kg and 158 cm (for Economy Class) and 32 kg and 158 cm (for Business Class).

Children over two can travel alone if they use a minor's escort service. The unaccompanied minor fare will be 100% of the applicable adult fare, in addition to the full one-way adult fare for the host party. Children over 12 years old may fly on their own without the use of an unaccompanied minor.

Children under the age of two are considered infants. The airline allows children over seven days old to travel. Infants shall be accepted according to their ticket, and if they become a child on the return flight, a child ticket must be issued. One adult (age 16 or older) may travel with two infants provided that: the first infant is accepted on a regular basis with his infant ticket; the second infant pays the applicable child fare and occupies a separate seat; and the infant must be restrained in a child restraint, which the adult must bring on board with him.

Only cats, dogs, and, in exceptional cases, falcons may be transported by airline. To transport live animals (accompanying passengers) from Egypt to Saudi Arabia, you must register on the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (Anaam) at https://www.mewa.gov.sa/en/eServices/Pages/Application-for-Pets-Imports.aspx before travel. Animals may only be transported to countries permitting such transportation under conditions stipulated and observed by the country. The total weight of the animal and the cage must not exceed 8 kg. The maximum dimensions of the cage may not exceed 55+40+20 cm (length, width, height).
