Regional Air Services was founded and started its history in July 1997, and from this time the company became a significant aviation leader in Tanzania, where the head office is located. It has a big experience in moving different sized groups throughout East Africa. It is the Tanzanian air carrier who is the leader in terms of safety and eco-awareness usage. The Regional is led by Airkenya Aviation. Scheduled flies are serving its travelers to 13 destinations worldwide. In addition, charter flights are conducted throughout Tanzania. Currently, 37 people work for the company, 10 of which are pilots.

Check in rules

Check-in at the airport for Arusha, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar ends 1 hour before scheduled departure. Check-in for other runways ends 30 minutes before scheduled departure. The company reserves the right to reallocate seats if the passenger has not checked in 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

Baggage

Each passenger is allowed 15 kg of personal baggage. This norm applies to all hand luggage. The carriage of excess baggage is at the discretion of the captain, taking into account the aircraft used and the number of passengers booked. The carriage of excess baggage is charged at the applicable freight rate.

The airline does not accept unaccompanied children under 12 years of age. Children over the age of 12 may travel alone.

Infants

Infants are defined as children under two years of age. Infants may fly without a seat on the airplane. The infant must sit on the lap of an accompanying adult. If you wish, you can buy a seat for an infant at the infant fare. Children over two years of age must have their own seat on the plane.
