Online check-in opens 48 hours before the scheduled departure time and closes 60 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Check-in desks open three hours before departure time, close 30 minutes before scheduled departure time at Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney airports, and 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time at regional airports.

Baggage

Each passenger is allowed one bag and one personal item. Maximum dimensions of hand luggage: 23 cm x 34 cm x 48 cm. Checked-in baggage allowance: 15 kg or 140 cm in linear dimensions (sum of length, width, and height of the item). Baggage of infants (not occupying seats) total weight must not exceed 10 kg. Maximum allowed size and weight of one piece of luggage: 158 cm (depth + height + length), 32.

Unaccompanied minors

Children over the age of 5 but under 12 traveling alone must travel as unaccompanied minors. This service is optional for children ages 12 to 15. However, they may voluntarily apply to travel as a UMNR if they wish.

Infants

Infants (children who have not reached their second birthday) may travel on an adult’s lap (lap-infant), at no charge, on Rex Services. Only one lap-infant per accompanying adult passenger is permitted. If you prefer, you can buy a seat on the plane for an infant at the infant fare. Children over the age of two are required to have their own seat on the plane.

Pets

Small pets may be carried in the cabin if the total weight of the pet and the carrier does not exceed 7 kg. Pets that weigh more than the limits for cabin transportation may instead be accepted for carriage as checked baggage. For pets traveling in the cabin the dimensions of the carrier must not exceed 23cm x 34cm x 48cm. For pets carried in checked baggage, carriers must not exceed a total size of 140 cm (sum of all measurements).
