Iberia Check-in can be done online (via the website or mobile app) or at the airport. Online check-in begins 24 hours before departure and ends 60 minutes before Iberia departure. Check-in at the airport opens four hours before the flight and closes 60 minutes before the scheduled Iberia departure. At most airports check-in opens four hours before the flight and closes 90 minutes before the scheduled departure.

Maximum carry-on baggage size 56x40x25 cm. Maximum weight in Iberia Economy Class 10 kilos and Business 14 kilos. If your baggage exceeds this, it must be checked in. Checked-in baggage must be no more than 158 cm (sum of all dimensions) and no more than 32 kg.

Children over the age of five can travel alone. A minors' accompanying Iberia service is compulsory for children 5-11 years old. For children over 12 years old, the minors' simultaneous service is not mandatory and can be booked at the parents' request.

"Children under 2 years of age who do not occupy a separate seat pay 30% to 10% of the accompanying adult's Iberia fare. If a child occupies a seat, he/she will be treated as a child between the ages of 2 and 11. For the carriage of infants under 8 months of age on intercontinental flights, every Iberia aircraft has a certain number of cribs for infants weighing up to 11 kg. Children over two and under 12 years of age traveling on domestic flights are eligible for a discount depending on the fare selected. "

Iberia allows the carriage of dogs and cats in the luggage compartment, except for brachycephalic animals and dangerous breeds. Allowed pets in the Iberia cabin: dogs, cats, fish, turtles and birds (except raptors). Take them with you in the cabin unless they weigh more than 8 kg. (including their cage or pet bag). The maximum dimensions of the container are 45 cm long, 35 cm wide and 25 cm high, and the sum of the three dimensions may not exceed 105 cm."
