Online check-in begins 24 hours prior to Qatar Airways departure and closes 60 minutes prior to departure. Check-in desks open three hours prior to Qatar Airways departure and close 60 minutes prior to departure.

Baggage

Qatar baggage allowance may vary depending on flight and booking class. You can find the number of pieces and weight allowed for your journey when you select your flights on qatarairways.com, as well as on your ticket prior to travel. Qatar economy class from 20kg at Lite to 25-35kg and 2 hand luggage pieces in Economy classic, Convenience and Comfort. Business class 40kg and 2 pieces of hand luggage and in Qatar First class 50kg and 2 pieces of hand luggage at 15kg.

Unaccompanied minors

Qatar Airways also offers an escort service for children traveling alone. The child must be between the ages of 5 and 15 (up to and including 16). Children under five years of age will not be accepted. To take advantage of the minor's escort service, you will also be charged a Qatar return ticket for the company employee who will be accompanying your child.

Infants

Infants are defined as children under two years of age. Newborns at least eight days old are allowed on Qatar Airways flights. Newborns under eight days of age may be accepted only in exceptional cases where travel is medically necessary. Infants may fly without a seat on the plane or on the lap of an accompanying adult. If you wish, you can buy a seat on the plane for an infant at the child's fare. Children over the age of two must have their own seats on the plane. If one adult is traveling with two infants, one seat must be purchased for one infant, and the other may be held on the lap.

Pets

Qatar allows you to carry one falcon in the economy class cabin (no more than six falcons are permitted on each plane, and country regulations may apply), but pet dogs or cats are not allowed in the cabin. However, the airline accepts pet dogs, cats, and birds as check-in baggage on your flight or separately. Pets weighing more than 75 kg may be carried as cargo.
