Check-in can be done online (via the website or mobile app) or at the airport. Online check-in begins 24 hours before departure and ends four hours before departure. Check-in desks open three hours before departure and close 60 minutes before departure.

Baggage

Each Economy Class passenger is allowed one carry-on bag. Passengers in Crown Class (except those traveling on Embraer aircraft where the limit is one piece of carry-on baggage per all passengers) are allowed two pieces of carry-on baggage. Maximum dimensions for small bags/portfolios: 23 cm x 36 cm x 56 cm (depth x height x width). Maximum weight: 7 kg. Passengers are allowed 30 kg in Crown Class and 20 kg in Economy Class. Any baggage exceeding the check-in baggage allowance will be charged per kg.

Unaccompanied minors

Children ages 5-12 years old: accepted to travel from/to RJ gateways and points beyond, except when traveling to USA and Canada, where they are accepted to travel only to RJ gateways. Children ages 12-18: Only accepted on flights to/from USA or Canada. They are accepted to travel to points beyond RJ gateways, provided onward travel is on the same day connection and the minimum connecting time is three hours.

Infants

Infants are passengers under the age of 24 months. Infants do not have a separate seat and must sit on the lap of an accompanying adult. The cost of international flights is 10% of the regular adult fare. If one adult travels with two infants, a child ticket must be purchased for one of the infants.

Pets

A limited number of pets are allowed on each flight: 2 in the cabin and 4 in the hold. Small cats and dogs can travel in the economy class section of Royal Jordanian flights if the journey duration does not exceed 5 hours. To be accepted on board, the combined weight of your pet and carrier must not exceed 7 kg. For pets traveling in the cabin, carriers must not exceed 50 cm x 40 cm x 26. For pets traveling as checked baggage, there are no restrictions on the size, but carriers over 250 cm are charged a fee for each additional 50 cm.
