Uganda Airlines (UR) fleet and travel rules

Uganda Airlines online check-in is available from 72 hours to 4 hours before departure, although availability may vary by airport. Passengers must still visit the airport check-in counter for document verification and boarding pass issuance. Airport check-in opens 5 hours before departure and closes 2 hours before departure for Dubai, London Gatwick, and Mumbai flights. For other destinations, check-in opens 4 hours before departure and closes 90 minutes before departure.

Uganda Airlines Check-in rules

Uganda Airlines allows one carry-on bag up to 7 kg (15.4 lb) plus one personal item in Economy Class, and two carry-on bags up to 7 kg each plus one personal item in Business Class. Free checked baggage allowance is 2 pieces up to 23 kg (50 lb) each in Economy Class and 2 pieces up to 30 kg (66 lb) each in Business Class, across all listed fare types.

Uganda Airlines Baggage rules

Uganda Airlines requires UM service for children aged 7 to under 17 traveling alone, without an accompanying adult aged 18 or older in the same class. The service is subject to additional fees and requires a completed indemnity form with parent or guardian details.

Unaccompanied minors in Uganda Airlines

Uganda Airlines accepts infants aged 7 days to 23 months, who may travel on an adult’s lap. Bassinets are available on a first-come, first-served basis for infants weighing up to 11 kg (24.3 lb). Infant baggage allowance includes 23 kg (50 lb) checked baggage on long-haul flights or 10 kg (22 lb) on regional flights, plus one cabin bag up to 5 kg (11 lb). Baby meals can be requested at least 24 hours before departure.

Uganda Airlines Infants policy

Uganda Airlines may accept dogs, cats, household birds, and other pets, subject to prior airline approval. Animals must travel in an approved carrier with valid health certificates, vaccination records, and required travel permits. Accepted pets are charged as excess baggage and are not included in the free baggage allowance. Service and emotional support dogs accompanying passengers with disabilities may travel free of charge, subject to airline requirements.
