Uganda Airlines is Uganda's flagship national passenger and cargo carrier. The airline was founded on April 23, 2019. Uganda Airlines provides scheduled air services in East Africa and near-international markets. The main destinations are Nairobi, Mombasa, Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro, Juba, Bujumbura and Mogadishu, the airline plans to fly to DRC, Zanzibar, Asmara, Hargeisa, Lusaka, Harare, Johannesburg, Djibouti and Addis Ababa. In total, Uganda Airline plans to serve 20 destinations.

Check in rules

The airline does not offer online check-in on its website. Passengers must check in at the airport. The airline recommends that passengers arrive at the airport two hours before their scheduled departure time.

Baggage

Passengers are allowed to take on board hand luggage with a maximum size of 55 cm x 40 m x 25 cm, and weighing up to 10 kg. Each passenger is entitled to one piece of checked baggage weighing up to 23 kg or 32 kg, depending on the class of travel.

Unaccompanied minors

Children between the ages of 04 and 17 may be allowed to travel as unaccompanied minors. The Unaccompanied Minors service is also mandatory for children between the ages of 12 and 17 flyings alone. The service must be booked at least 48 hours in advance.

Infants

Children 14 days to 8 months old are classified as infants and occupy a seat with their mother/father. Only one infant per adult is allowed at check-in. Infant meals may be ordered up to 24 hours prior to departure.
