The airline operates scheduled passenger services out of both Pudong and Hongqiao airports. Shanghai Airlines offers an online check-in service for all passengers with an e-ticket. However, only adults without special requirements can check in online.

Baggage

First Class passengers are allowed two pieces of carry-on baggage, while Business and Economy Class passengers are allowed one piece. All bags must not exceed 55 x 40 x 20 cm and weigh 5 kg. The maximum baggage allowance is 158 cm (sum of all dimensions). First Class: 2 seats (3 seats each for flights to/from Europe, Australia, Japan, and Dubai) up to 32 kg Business Class, W/Class, Economy Extra: 2 seats of 32 kg each. Economy Class: 2 seats of 23 kg each.

Infants are considered to be children under two years of age. Therefore, babies can fly without a seat on the plane, on the lap of an accompanying adult. If you prefer, you can buy a seat for an infant at the infant fare. Children over two years of age must have their own seat on the plane. If one adult is traveling with two infants, one seat must be purchased for one infant, and the other may be held on the lap.

Pets

Pets are not allowed in the cabin. However, some flights allow small cats, dogs, and pets as baggage. The total weight of the pet and the carrier may not exceed 32 kg. Pets are charged as excess baggage. For pets carried in the cargo hold, medium-sized carriers may not exceed 81 cm x 55 cm x 58 cm, and large-sized carriers may not exceed 91 cm x 60 cm x 66 cm.
