Check-in options: web check-in, mobile check-in, airport check-in. Online check-in opens 30 hours before scheduled departure (18 hours for flights to and from the Canary Islands) and closes 30 minutes before scheduled departure. Online check-in is unavailable for passengers without an e-ticket number or for passengers requiring special assistance at the airport. Check-in desks open three hours before departure and close 30 minutes before departure.

SmartWings passengers are permitted to bring on board the aircraft one piece of cabin baggage plus one personal item, such as a briefcase, camera bag, or small backpack. Carry-on baggage cannot exceed 114 centimeters in combined width, length, and height; this includes any wheels and handles– except some musical instruments. No maximum weight applies to carry-on baggage. The sum of three dimensions of any item of checked baggage must not be larger than 250 cm, with each side no longer than 150 cm. Maximum luggage weight: for economy class - one bag up to 23 kg; for business class - two bags of 32 kg.

Children aged 6 to 11 may travel alone if the Unaccompanied Minor Assistance Service (UMNR) is purchased at least two days before departure through the contact form. Children aged 12 years and over may travel alone without an assistant, but an assistant may be purchased for them up to 17 years of age on request.

Infants are defined as children younger than two years old. Smartwings does not accept infants under 48 hours old. Infants aged 48 hours to 7 days fly only on this form (https://www.smartwings.com/images/predpisy-formulare/en/travelservice-medical-clearance-form.pdf). Infants can fly without a seat on the plane, on the lap of an accompanying adult. You can buy a seat for an infant at the infant fare if you wish. If one adult and two infants are traveling, one seat must be purchased for one infant, and the other may be held on the lap.

SmartWings allows small cats and dogs in the cabin on some flights. A limited number of pets are allowed on the plane, so you must notify the airline at least 48 hours before departure. Pets that exceed the weight limits for carriage in the cabin may instead be carried in the cargo hold. Dogs are allowed in the baggage compartment as long as the total weight of the pet and the carrier does not exceed 17-70 pounds (8-32 kg).
