Registration can be done online (via the ITA Airways website or mobile app) or at the airport. Check-in desks open three hours before ITA Airways departure and close 40 minutes before departure. Online check-in is available 48 hours before your flight's departure time. For flights to/from the U.S., online check-in is only available 24 hours before your flight's departure time.

ITA Airways Passengers are allowed to take on board hand luggage with a maximum size of 55 cm x 35 m x 25 cm, and weighing up to 8 kg. Maximum weight of checked baggage is 23 kg, size up to 158 cm (sum of all dimensions).

Unaccompanied minors

Children over the age of five can travel alone. For children 5-14 years old (on ITA Airways domestic flights) and 5-15 years old (on ITA Airways international flights) a Minor Escort service is mandatory. For children, over 15 years old, a minor escort is not obligatory and can be requested by parents.

Children under two years of age can fly with ITA Airways on Infant fare if they travel in the lap of an accompanying adult or, if the child uses an approved car safety seat, a separate seat can be reserved for them by purchasing a Child fare.

Pets

Not every ITA Airways airplane has pet carriers, and the maximum pet carrier size they can take on board varies. Pets younger than three months old cannot travel. Pets cannot travel to the United Kingdom.
